So I have a confession. Up until about 2 years ago I didn’t use product in my hair aside from a quick spritz of hairspray. I have such fine, thin hair that I figured there was nothing I could do to help my hair hold a curl. Fast forward 2 years and I have some great tips for making those curls last all day long!
I recently discovered a new line of hair products that have made a big difference in my hairs ability to hold a style. The Sea Collection from Verb actually adds a bit of grit and texture to your hair just by using the shampoo and conditioner. This gives a good base for any kind of heat styling.
My best tip for long lasting curls actually isn’t even a product, it has to do with the way you curl the hair. When you start to curl your hair do one wrap and then pause for a few extra seconds. The extra heat on the top end of the curl will help it hold its shape.
Once you’ve finished curling all your hair and it’s completely cooled grab your wide toothed comb and comb through your hair. (This is crucial to make your curls last and to prevent them from separating). Then spray with your favorite hair spray. I’ve been using this Living Proof spray for a few years and I don’t think I’d ever switch. It has the perfect amount of hold and unlike most hair sprays it smells amazing.
My last step to keeping my curls all day is this styling cream from Verb. You just take a small amount of the cream and run your hands through your hair. It adds even more texture and volume to your hair and helps those curls stay all day long!
